No Shore News Network photograph may be copied, downloaded, reproduced, republished, distributed, displayed, modified, cropped for republication, incorporated into another work, used on social media, used in advertising, used commercially, or otherwise exploited without prior authorization from Shore News Network or the applicable copyright owner.
Possession of, access to, or the ability to download an image does not constitute permission or a license to use it.

Unauthorized reproduction or use of a copyrighted photograph may constitute copyright infringement under federal law.
Under the U.S. Copyright Act, a copyright owner may pursue available legal remedies for infringement, which can include injunctions, recovery of actual damages and the infringer’s profits, or, when the statutory requirements are satisfied, statutory damages. Statutory damages generally range from $750 to $30,000 per infringed work, and a court may increase an award to as much as $150,000 per work for willful infringement. In qualifying cases, the copyright owner may also seek recovery of costs and reasonable attorney’s fees.
Removal or alteration of copyright-management information, including certain copyright notices, credits, or identifying information associated with an image, may also create additional liability under applicable federal law.
