Connecticut player wins $25K a year for life on Lucky for Life ticket sold at Haven Deli
BRANFORD, CT – A Connecticut Lottery player is now set to receive $25,000 a year for life after hitting it big on a winning Lucky for Life ticket sold at Haven Deli & Convenience LLC in Branford.
The winning ticket was purchased by a player from East Haven for the December 11 drawing. The player matched five numbers to win the second-tier Lucky for Life prize, which pays $25,000 annually for life, or can be claimed as a one-time cash option.
Haven Deli & Convenience, located on Main Street in Branford, will receive a bonus for selling the winning ticket.
Lucky for Life offers two lifetime prize tiers: $1,000 a day for life as the top prize, and $25,000 a year for life as the second prize. Drawings are held nightly, and winners have 180 days from the draw date to claim their prize.
Lottery officials have not released the identity of the winner, who must come forward to claim the prize and select between the annuity or lump sum.
