Lindenwold Police Seek to Identify Suspect in Auto Shop Theft

LINDENWOLD, N.J. — Police are searching for a man who allegedly stole a vehicle key from Glen Oaks Auto on North Berlin Road on September 3, 2024. According to the Lindenwold Police Department, the suspect entered the shop asking to use the restroom, and after being allowed to do so, lingered in the lobby, claiming he was “just getting air.”

Later, it was discovered that a key to a vehicle was missing. Upon reviewing surveillance footage, the suspect was seen walking behind the counter and taking the key.

Authorities have released images of the suspect from the surveillance video and are asking the public for assistance in identifying him. Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Tomasetti at 856-784-7566 ext. 421 or via email at jtomasetti@lindenwoldpd.com.

The investigation is ongoing as police work to apprehend the individual responsible.
