Lucky deli sells six figure New Jersey lottery winner

A Quick Draw player in Hudson County scored a six-figure prize as the progressive jackpot continues to climb

JERSEY CITY, N.J. — A stop at a Jersey City deli turned into a $104K payday after a New Jersey Lottery player matched enough numbers to capture a share of the Quick Draw Progressive jackpot.

The New Jersey Lottery announced that a Hudson County player won $104,086 in the Quick Draw game after purchasing a winning ticket Thursday.

The ticket was sold at Lucky Deli Meat Food Corp., located at 91 Martin Luther King Jr. Drive in Jersey City.

Lottery officials said the player won 20% of the Quick Draw Progressive jackpot based on the ticket’s wager amount.

Quick Draw Progressive tickets are available at New Jersey Lottery retailers throughout the state and automatically include eligibility for the rolling jackpot at no additional cost.

Each ticket contains nine randomly selected jackpot numbers. If all nine numbers are drawn during an eligible Quick Draw drawing, the ticket wins a percentage of the jackpot based on the wager amount.

According to the lottery, a $2 wager per draw qualifies a ticket for 20% of the jackpot, while tickets with wagers of $10 or more per draw are eligible to win 100% of the jackpot.

Following the win, the estimated Quick Draw Progressive jackpot has climbed to more than $422K.

The identity of the winner was not released.
