Lucky Freehold ticket cashes in for $616K jackpot

One lucky ticket sold in Monmouth County matched all five numbers to claim the top prize

FREEHOLD, N.J. — A New Jersey Lottery player is holding a ticket worth $616,344 after matching all five numbers in Friday night’s Jersey Cash 5 drawing, turning a stop at a Freehold convenience store into a jackpot-winning moment.

The New Jersey Lottery announced that the winning ticket was sold at Krauszers, located at 546 Park Ave. in Freehold.

The jackpot-winning numbers drawn were 08, 11, 13, 24 and 44. The Bullseye number was 44 and the XTRA multiplier was 02.

Lottery officials said the Monmouth County player matched all five numbers to claim the $616,344 jackpot.

As a result of the sale, Krauszers will receive a $2,000 retailer bonus from the New Jersey Lottery.

In addition to the jackpot winner, 29 players matched four of the five numbers plus the Bullseye to win $500 each.

Six of those players doubled their winnings to $1,000 by purchasing the XTRA option.

Following the win, the Jersey Cash 5 jackpot has been reset to $150,000.

The identity of the winner was not released.
