NEWINGTON, CT — A KENO ticket sold in Newington has delivered a $13,500 prize to a lucky winner from New York, lottery officials confirmed.
Ria G of Ossining, NY, claimed the winning ticket, which was purchased at 786 Newington Grocery LLC in Newington. The ticket matched enough numbers to earn a $13,500 payout from the Connecticut Lottery’s fast-paced draw game.
The win was recorded on March 27, and the prize has since been claimed. KENO, a popular game in the state, offers drawings every four minutes and payouts based on how many numbers a player matches and the wager amount.
786 Newington Grocery LLC, the retailer that sold the winning ticket, continues to be part of a growing list of locations across Connecticut that have sold winning KENO tickets.
The Connecticut Lottery encourages players to always sign their tickets and check results at ctlottery.org or through the official app.
