BUFFALO, NY — A routine grocery trip may have turned into a $50,000 payday after a Powerball ticket sold at a Buffalo Wegmans matched enough numbers to win the game’s third prize.
The New York Lottery announced the winning ticket was purchased at Wegmans, located at 3740 McKinley Parkway South.
The ticket is worth $50,000 from the Wednesday, July 22, Powerball drawing.
The winning numbers for the drawing were selected during the multi-state game’s televised drawing held at 10:59 p.m.
Lottery officials have not announced whether the prize has been claimed.
Powerball drawings are held every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday.
