Surveillance footage could hold the key to finding the suspect
WASHINGTON, DC – A woman walking along M Street NE had her purse snatched in a broad-daylight robbery last month, and police have now released surveillance images of the suspect they are trying to identify.
The robbery happened at approximately 2:52 p.m. July 17 in the 100 block of M Street NE, according to the Metropolitan Police Department.

Police said the woman was walking along the block when the suspect approached her and snatched her purse.
The suspect fled before responding officers arrived.
MPD did not report whether the victim was injured or disclose what was inside the stolen purse.
Robbery suspect caught on camera
Nearby surveillance cameras captured the suspect, giving investigators video and images from the area.
MPD released the footage and photo Monday, one month after the robbery, while seeking help identifying and locating the suspect.
Police have not announced an arrest.

A reward of up to $1,000 is available for information leading to the arrest and indictment of the person or persons responsible.
