Man Arrested for Public Intoxication in Wilkes-Barre

Wilkes-Barre, PA – On Thursday, Wilkes-Barre City Police responded to a call regarding a potentially unresponsive male lying in the roadway on Spring Street. The incident, reported at 4:45 PM, required immediate police attention.

Upon their arrival at 41 Spring Street, officers identified the individual as Keith O’Brien, a 62-year-old resident of Wilkes-Barre, PA. O’Brien was found to be highly intoxicated, posing a potential danger to himself.

Police determined that O’Brien was manifestly under the influence of alcohol. He was taken into custody for his safety and detained until he regained sobriety.

The case, identified by IRC number 240204377, involved no other persons. O’Brien remains in custody as authorities monitor his condition.
