VOLUSIA COUNTY, FL – Scott Tharp had an active felony warrant for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and felony battery. On Tuesday, Tharp battered and doused his girlfriend with gasoline during a domestic disturbance in Deltona. Tharp also has an open warrant out of Seminole County for violation of probation for an assault offense.
Later in the day, Sheriff Mike Chitwood asked the public in helping deputies find “this scumbag”.
He was arrested this weekend after being spotted by deputies.
