TOWSON, MD — Baltimore County police have arrested a 24-year-old man in connection with a stabbing that injured two people earlier this month.

Omar Soliman was taken into custody following an investigation into the January 11 incident that took place in the 400 block of York Road just before midnight. Police say the altercation began as a verbal argument and escalated into a physical assault.

One victim was found at the scene with multiple stab wounds to the upper body and was transported to a nearby hospital. A second victim suffered a minor laceration to the hand and did not require hospitalization, according to authorities.

Soliman has been charged with attempted murder and first-degree assault. He is being held without bond at the Baltimore County Detention Center.

Police have not released additional details about the investigation or the condition of the hospitalized victim.
