Officers responded to a 911 call about an assault in progress at 219 East 121st Street at approximately 2:01 p.m. on November 21. Upon arrival, they found 41-year-old David Providence with multiple stab wounds to his torso.

Providence was transported by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals/Harlem in critical condition, but he later succumbed to his injuries, authorities said.
