Man fatally shot in Crown Heights, police investigating

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 25-year-old man was fatally shot early Wednesday morning in Crown Heights, police said. Officers from the 77th Precinct responded to a 911 call at approximately 4:55 a.m. in the vicinity of Schenectady Avenue and St. Johns Place, where they discovered the victim with a gunshot wound to the head.

Emergency Medical Services transported the man to NYC Health + Hospitals/Kings County, where he was pronounced dead. The victim’s identity is being withheld pending family notification, police stated.

No arrests have been made, and the investigation is ongoing. Authorities are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
