Man fatally shot in North Philadelphia, no arrests reported

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. — A man was shot and killed in North Philadelphia on Sunday afternoon, prompting an ongoing homicide investigation by city police.

Authorities said the shooting occurred around 3:37 p.m. on the 2700 block of North Orkney Street, located in the 25th Police District. The victim, an adult male, was transported by Medic 31 to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 4:08 p.m.

The motive for the shooting remains unknown, and police have not identified any suspects at this time.

The Philadelphia Police Department’s Homicide Unit is handling the investigation. No arrests have been made as of Monday.
