WASHINGTON, DC – Last night, Donald Hawkins, a 46-year-old man was fatally shot in Southeast D.C.

The incident occurred around 8:51 p.m. in the 1900 block of Anacostia Drive, where responding officers from the Sixth and Seventh Districts confirmed Hawkins’ death at the scene.

The D.C. Metro Police Department urges anyone with information about this shooting to assist in their ongoing investigation. Witnesses can contact detectives at 202-727-9099 or submit tips via text to the department’s tip line at 50411.
