Man fatally shot outside Midtown Manhattan building; no arrests made

MIDTOWN MANHATTAN, NEW YORK – A 35-year-old man was shot and killed early Saturday morning outside a building on West 49th Street, police said.

Officers responded to a 911 call reporting a shooting in front of 332 West 49th Street at approximately 2:54 a.m. Upon arrival, they found the victim suffering from two gunshot wounds to the torso.

The man, who was conscious and alert at the scene, was transported by EMS to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital, according to police.

Authorities have not released the victim’s identity pending notification of family members. The motive behind the shooting remains unclear, and police have yet to make any arrests in connection with the incident.
