August 17, 2025

Queens, NY — A 43-year-old man was stabbed in the chest in broad daylight on a quiet Queens block and later died at the hospital, authorities confirmed, as investigators continue searching for a suspect.

The deadly attack occurred around 4:10 p.m. outside 150-16 119th Avenue in South Jamaica. When officers arrived, they found Ramnarine Bahadur with a stab wound to the chest lying near the curb. Emergency medical personnel rushed him to Jamaica Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in critical condition before being pronounced dead by staff shortly afterward.

Police have not released details on what led up to the stabbing. No arrests have been made, and officials have not identified a suspect or motive in the killing.

Neighbors reported a commotion shortly before emergency responders arrived, though it remains unclear whether Bahadur and his attacker knew each other. The area, located within the 113th Precinct, is largely residential.

As of Sunday, the investigation remains ongoing.
