WASHINGTON, DC – A man was gunned down Monday afternoon near the DC-Maryland line, triggering a homicide investigation that shut down part of Benning Road SE and put police on the hunt for a heavily tinted black Acura sedan.
The shooting was reported shortly after 2:30 p.m. in the 5000 block of Benning Road SE, near the Prince George’s County border and close to a Shell gas station and grocery store.
Victim found unconscious on Benning Road
The adult male victim was found unconscious with gunshot wounds.
He died from his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
