Man gropes woman on Brooklyn street then flees south on 2nd Avenue, police say

Police are looking for a man who forcibly touched a woman on a Brooklyn street last month before fleeing on foot, according to the NYPD.

The incident occurred Wednesday, June 25, at approximately 8:20 a.m., in front of 5701 2nd Avenue, within the confines of the 72nd Precinct.

Authorities said a 54-year-old female victim was walking when an unidentified male approached her from behind and grabbed her buttocks over her clothing. The man then fled southbound on 2nd Avenue.

There were no reported injuries as a result of the incident.

The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion. He was last seen wearing a tan t-shirt with a black cross design and green jeans.

Police have released images of the individual and are seeking the public’s assistance in identifying him.
