Man hospitalized after early-morning stabbing on Benning Road in Southeast DC

WASHINGTON, DC – A man is recovering in the hospital after being stabbed early Wednesday morning on Benning Road near Minnesota Avenue in Southeast, according to police.

The incident occurred around 4 a.m. on December 11. Officers responding to the scene found the victim conscious and breathing with stab wounds. Medics transported him to the hospital for treatment.

As the investigation unfolded, police received an additional report of a person injured and taken to the hospital. Officials have not yet released further details about the incident.

This stabbing follows a shooting on Tuesday in the 4600 block of Benning Road. Police have confirmed the two incidents are unrelated.
