Man Killed Wednesday morning in Brooklyn

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 29-year-old man was shot and killed in Brooklyn, police said, in an incident now under active investigation.

Officers were alerted after the victim was transported by private means to One Brooklyn Health-Brookdale University Hospital Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead by hospital staff.

Following further investigation, police determined the shooting took place at 574 Dumont Avenue in the 75th Precinct. Authorities have not made any arrests.

The victim’s identity is being withheld pending notification of family.

“There are no arrests at this time and the investigation remains ongoing,” police said.

No additional details were released regarding possible suspects or motive.

The fatal shooting occurred in East New York, a neighborhood that has seen multiple shootings in recent months.
