Toms River, NJ – An Ocean County man is being held without bail after being booked into the Ocean County Jail on an extensive list of criminal charges stemming from two separate cases, according to jail records.
Andrew Joseph Durante, 38, was committed to the jail on July 25 and remains in custody pending court proceedings.
According to jail records, Durante faces multiple counts of aggravated assault on law enforcement officers, aggravated assault on a first responder, terroristic threats, resisting arrest with violence, criminal mischief, obstruction of the administration of law, harassment, disorderly conduct, and other related offenses.
Multiple cases filed
The more extensive complaint includes four counts of terroristic threats, two counts of aggravated assault on law enforcement officers, one count of aggravated assault on a first responder, resisting arrest with violence, obstruction, criminal mischief involving property damage, offensive touching, alarming conduct, violent behavior, and improper behavior.
A second complaint adds three additional counts of aggravated assault on a law enforcement officer.
Held without bail
Authorities have not released details describing the incidents that led to the charges, and the law enforcement agency involved has not yet been identified.
Durante remains lodged in the Ocean County Jail while the charges proceed through the court system.
