FAR ROCKAWAY, QUEENS—A man was shot in the leg and found with a stab wound to the back in a violent incident near Beach Channel Drive and Rockaway Freeway. The event unfolded late Friday night, with police first responding to a 911 call at 10:15 PM EDT.

Authorities arrived at the scene following a report of a person shot in the leg. Subsequent police updates confirmed that a male victim had indeed been shot.

As the investigation progressed, police discovered at 10:33 PM that the victim also sustained a stab wound to the back in addition to the gunshot wound to his left knee.

Police are currently canvassing the area for more information and are seeking potential witnesses to piece together the details of the incident.
