Man shot dead in broad daylight on West Gordon Street in North Philadelphia

A late-morning shooting once again brought tragedy to a North Philadelphia street.

PHILADELPHIA, PA – A 24-year-old man was killed late Monday morning in a burst of gunfire on a North Philadelphia block.

The shooting occurred around 11:43 a.m. on the 2900 block of West Gordon Street, according to police.

Responding officers found the victim suffering from multiple gunshot wounds across his body.

He was transported to Temple University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:04 p.m.

The scene was secured by police as detectives combed the area for evidence and surveillance footage. No arrests have been made, and the motive remains under investigation.

The Homicide Unit is leading the ongoing probe as investigators work to identify a suspect and determine what led to the deadly encounter.
