Philadelphia, PA – A man was left fighting for his life after a shooting on a North Philadelphia residential block Tuesday evening, an incident that ended with a woman taken into custody and a firearm recovered at the scene.
The shooting occurred at approximately 5 p.m. on the 6300 block of Musgrave Street, where officers responding to reports of gunfire found an adult male suffering from a gunshot wound to the head, officials said.
The victim was rushed by police to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he remains in critical condition. His identity has not been released.
An adult female was taken into custody at the scene for further investigation. Authorities also recovered a weapon believed to be connected to the shooting.
Officials said the motive for the shooting has not yet been determined. No additional injuries were reported.
The case remains under active investigation by the Shooting Investigation Group as detectives work to determine the circumstances leading up to the gunfire.
