Man Shot In The Head Dead In Baltimore

BALTIMORE, MARYLAND – The Baltimore Police Department launched a homicide investigation following the fatal shooting of a man in Western Baltimore, prompted by a Shot Spotter alert on Wednesday evening.

Officers were dispatched to the 600 Block of North Dukeland Street around 7:56 p.m. due to the alert. An individual there directed them to the 2000 block of Winchester Street, where they found the male victim lying in the road with a severe gunshot wound to the head.

Emergency medical services swiftly transported the victim to a local hospital. His identity, including his date of birth, remains unconfirmed.

Homicide detectives are actively investigating this incident. The Baltimore Police Department urges anyone with information to contact them at 410-396-2100.
