NEW YORK, NY – An early morning dispute on Friday led to a violent altercation in which a 24-year-old man was slashed in the face. The incident occurred at around 3:30 AM at 538 9th Avenue, where the victim was involved in a verbal dispute with an unidentified assailant.
The confrontation quickly escalated to physical violence, during which the assailant produced a knife and slashed the victim’s face. Following the attack, the assailant fled the scene on foot, heading eastbound on 40th Street.
The victim was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue by EMS, where he is currently in stable condition. The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion and slim build, approximately 6 feet tall, and with braids.
The police are actively investigating the incident and are asking anyone with information to come forward to assist with the case.
