WASHINGTON, D.C. — A brutal stabbing combined with a dog attack sent one man to the hospital Tuesday night after he was found bleeding inside a gas station on Benning Road, according to investigators.

The incident occurred around 8 p.m. in the 5000 block of Benning Road, where responding officers were flagged down and directed to the wounded man lying on the floor of the gas station. The victim was suffering from multiple stab wounds as well as apparent dog bite injuries.

Police issued a lookout for a suspect described as having short dreadlocks and armed with a knife. Officials have not released further details about the suspect or the circumstances leading up to the attack.
