MPD issued a crime alert Tuesday night identifying a known suspect and warning the public not to approach him
WASHINGTON, DC – A manhunt was underway Tuesday night after a stabbing near Clay Street and Minnesota Avenue in Northeast DC, where police said the suspect was known and released a description while warning residents not to approach him.
The Metropolitan Police Department issued the crime alert at approximately 9:54 p.m. Tuesday for the 6th District, covering Police Service Areas 601 through 608.
MPD said officers were investigating a stabbing at Clay Street and Minnesota Avenue Northeast.
The alert described the suspect as a Black male with a dark complexion and short dreadlocks who was wearing a Washington Redskins shirt and pants.
Police did not release the suspect’s name.
