Man stabbed during fight at Grant Avenue subway station

BROOKLYN, N.Y. — A 51-year-old man was stabbed early Tuesday morning during a verbal dispute in the mezzanine of the Grant Avenue subway station, police said.

The incident occurred around 3:44 a.m. on May 27. According to the NYPD, the victim became involved in an argument with an unidentified man, who then pulled out a sharp object and stabbed him in the right side of the chest.

The attacker fled the station on foot in an unknown direction. The motive behind the altercation remains unclear, and no arrests have been made.

Emergency Medical Services transported the victim to Brookdale Hospital Medical Center, where he was listed in stable condition, police said.

The suspect is described as a male with a medium complexion, approximately 5 feet 5 inches tall and 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a gray and white hooded sweatshirt, light brown pants, and multi-colored sneakers.
