Manchester Police Department recognizes school resource officer Keith Craig

MANCHESTER, NJ – School resource officers are police officers who work in a community’s school district to ensure frontline safety to students, but also to serve as mentors and role models for those students. If you don’t have children in public schools, you might not recognize the impact these officers have on the day to day lives of students.

Today, in celebration of National School Resource Officer Appreciation Day, The Manchester Police Department recognized Officer Keith Craig, the school resource officer to the Manchester Township School District.

“Officer Craig has been assigned as the school resource officer since September of 2021 and has been instrumental in developing and maintaining positive relationships between the youth of Manchester Township and the police department,” the Manchester Police Department said. “Officer Craig also follows up on all juvenile related investigations to make sure the schools are a safe space for staff, teachers, and students.”
