Manhunt for fugitive maryland teen wanted for murder continues as fourth accomplice arrested

COLUMBIA, Md. — Howard County police have charged a fourth suspect in the January shooting death of 17-year-old Lance Carrington, as the search continues for the alleged teenage gunman still at large.

Jeremiah Robinson, 20, was charged with first- and second-degree murder and is currently being held without bond at the Howard County Detention Center, officials announced Friday. His arrest follows the earlier apprehension of three other suspects connected to the fatal attempted robbery.

Authorities continue to search for 16-year-old Jemik Parker of Columbia, who is accused of firing the fatal shots. The reward for information leading to Parker’s capture has been increased to up to $10,000. He is charged as an adult with first- and second-degree murder.

The incident occurred Jan. 14, when Carrington was found shot to death inside a parked vehicle in the 6000 block of Helen Dorsey Way. Police recovered a loaded handgun from Carrington at the scene.

According to investigators, Parker, along with Kendall Stagg, 18; Charles Epperson Jr., 19; and Janae Baker, 18, all of Columbia, conspired to rob Carrington of a gun. Police allege that Baker was already in the car with Carrington when Parker, Stagg, and Epperson Jr. approached the vehicle. Parker then allegedly shot Carrington before all four fled the scene.

Stagg, Epperson Jr., and Baker have also been charged with first- and second-degree murder and remain held without bail at the Howard County Detention Center. Robinson’s alleged involvement has not yet been detailed publicly by police.

Police are urging anyone with information about Parker’s location to come forward.
