Maryland Lottery urges players to hold April 2 tickets amid cashing issue

April 2, 2025

BALTIMORE, Md. — The Maryland Lottery is advising players to hold on to any tickets from the April 2 CASH POP drawings as officials work to resolve a ticket cashing problem.

According to the Lottery, a technical issue is currently preventing the redemption of winning tickets from the affected drawings. Work is underway to correct the problem, and players will be able to cash in all valid tickets once the issue is resolved.

The impacted drawings include the 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. CASH POP games, with winning numbers 13 and 5, respectively.

No timeline has been given for when the issue will be fixed, but the Lottery stated it is “working to resolve [it] as soon as possible.”

The announcement came just 23 minutes after the issue was made public by Lottery spokesperson Melanie Losover.

Players are encouraged to retain their tickets until further notice from the Maryland Lottery.

Maryland Lottery says CASH POP winners must wait as ticket issue gets fixed.
