Maryland Man Thought He Was Soliciting Young Girl Online, She Was a Cop

WALDORF, Md. — Rafee Al-Mansur, 33, of Waldorf, Maryland, was arrested on Wednesday following an investigation by the Maryland State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force. Al-Mansur has been charged with two counts of sexual solicitation of a minor and is currently being held at the Anne Arundel County Detention Center.

The investigation began in April 2024, when members of the task force developed evidence of online sexual solicitation involving a person who believed they were communicating with a 13-year-old girl.

Authorities later identified Al-Mansur as the suspect.

A search warrant was executed at Al-Mansur’s residence in Charles County by the Maryland State Police Computer Crimes Unit, with support from Homeland Security Investigations. Al-Mansur was taken into custody at the scene.

The case remains under investigation.
