Brandywine woman wins $10K in Hall-o-WIN second-chance lottery promotion

Brandywine, MD — Udele Burno walked into Maryland Lottery headquarters on Tuesday with a big smile—and for good reason. The Brandywine resident had just learned she was one of five lucky winners of $10,000 in the Hall-o-WIN second-chance promotion.

Burno, a mother of three and a delivery driver, said the win came as a total surprise. “I was so excited. I have never won that much money,” she told lottery officials after claiming her prize on November 5.

She plans to use the windfall to purchase a new car.

The Hall-o-WIN promotion gave players the opportunity to enter non-winning Pick 3, Pick 4, and Pick 5 tickets into their My Lottery Rewards accounts for a chance to win cash prizes of $5,000 or $10,000. The limited-time promotion wrapped up after Halloween.

As Hall-o-WIN comes to a close, the Maryland Lottery is now promoting its ThanksWINNING campaign, offering players a chance to win $2 or $5 Instant Win coupons or a free $1 FAST PLAY Reindeer Riches ticket when playing any draw game through November 30.
