MAYWOOD, NJ – Keith J. Balasa, a 55-year-old construction worker from Maywood, has been arrested on charges of possessing child sexual abuse material. The Bergen County Prosecutor’s Office Cyber Crimes Unit executed a search warrant at Balasa’s residence on Friday, following a months-long investigation.
The investigation found that Balasa used the Internet to view, download, and possess explicit material involving underage children.
Balasa was arrested in Paramus, NJ, and charged with third-degree possession of child sexual abuse material. He has been sent to the Bergen County Jail, awaiting his first appearance in Central Judicial Processing Court in Hackensack.
