MANAHAWKIN, NJ – On Wednesday, at approximately 2:30 PM, Stafford Police responded to the area of Buccaneer Lane and Lighthouse Drive for the report of an overturned vehicle. Upon arrival, officers discovered a 2020 red Nissan SUV overturned in the wooded area. Investigation revealed that the vehicle was operated by Lynda Curtis of Manahawkin, who suffered a medical episode while driving, causing her to veer off of the roadway, strike a tree, and overturn her vehicle. Curtis suffered minor injuries and was transported to Southern Ocean Medical Center for treatment. The investigating officer is Patrolman DeMarco.
