Man arrested months after broad daylight robbery on Minnesota Avenue

WASHINGTON, DC – A Northeast man has been arrested months after an alleged daytime robbery on Minnesota Avenue in which a victim was assaulted and robbed in the middle of the afternoon.

The robbery occurred Saturday, September 27, at approximately 1:30 p.m. in the 3700 block of Minnesota Avenue Northeast.

According to investigators, the suspect assaulted the victim and took property before fleeing the scene.

On Friday, February 20, members of the Capitol Area Regional Fugitive Task Force executed a D.C. Superior Court arrest warrant.

Police arrested 32-year-old Tayvon Parker, of Northeast, D.C. He was charged with robbery force and violence.

The case remains under investigation.
