PHILADELPHIA, PA – An important NFC contest takes center stage at the Linc as both teams are in contention to win their division. The Seahawks (7-3) have a chance to take over first place in the competitive West as a Win tonight propels Seattle to the Top of the division after the Rams and Cards lost on Sunday.

Despite their 3-6-1 record, the Eagles are still in contention for the Top spot in the NFC East. Whoever wins this division could set an NFL record for the worst record ever to have that honor.
The updated line for tonight’s contest has the visiting Seahawks a 6.5 point favorite and the total is 48.5. These two teams met twice last year, once during the regular season and again the wildcard round, and the Hawks won by identical scores of 17-9 both at the Linc.
Eagles QB Wentz has the dubious distinction of leading the NFL with 18 turnovers, last week he was sacked 5 times in a 22-17 loss at Cleveland. Seattle ranks dead last in defense in the NFL but has a favorable schedule with the Giants, Jets, and the Washington Football Team coming up.
Scheduling dynamics are favorable for the Hawks to get the elusive West title while after tonight the Eagles have a brutal schedule ahead with the Packers, Saints, and Cards where they will be Underdogs in every game. A battle for first place is on the line tonight and normally Monday night home dogs are worth consideration but this is a very challenging dilemma for HC Doug Pedersen.
