MONTGOMERY COUNTY, MD—The Montgomery County Police Department is requesting the public’s assistance in identifying two female suspects involved in an auto theft incident that occurred on the evening of Wednesday, April 10, 2024. The theft took place at approximately 9:45 p.m. outside a Planet Fitness located in the 1100 block of Wayne Avenue.
According to the preliminary investigation, the suspects entered the gym’s locker room and stole car keys from a locker. They then used these keys to steal a white 2015 Toyota Corolla, bearing Maryland registration 4DZ5597, parked nearby. Further exploiting the theft, the suspects made unauthorized purchases at a nearby store using a credit card found inside the vehicle.
Surveillance footage obtained by the officers has led to detailed descriptions of the suspects. The first subject is described as a Black female, approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, weighing about 130 pounds, dressed in a white shirt, blue jeans, and multicolored shoes, and was seen carrying a black crossbody purse. The second subject is described as a Black female, approximately 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighing about 180 pounds, dressed in a black long sleeve shirt and blue jeans, and was seen with a pink crossbody purse.
The Montgomery County Police are urging anyone with information about these individuals or the incident to come forward to assist in the investigation.
