Montgomery Village Man Charged with Murder in Fatal Shooting

MONTGOMERY COUNTY, Md. — A man has been charged with murder following a deadly shooting in Montgomery Village on Monday, according to the Montgomery County Police Department (MCPD).

Police responded to the 19300 block of Club House Road shortly after 11:30 a.m., where they found a 21-year-old Gaithersburg man with gunshot wounds. Despite officers’ attempts at life-saving measures, the victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

Through witness interviews and evidence collection, detectives identified 20-year-old Oliver Alexis Perez Fierro, of Montgomery Village, as the alleged shooter. He was apprehended and taken to the Montgomery County Public Safety Headquarters.

A search warrant executed at Fierro’s residence uncovered additional evidence, leading to charges of first-degree murder and use of a handgun in the commission of a felony. Fierro is currently held at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, awaiting a bond hearing.

Police believe the incident was an isolated confrontation between the victim and Fierro. The victim’s identity has not yet been released, and the investigation remains ongoing.
