Motorcycle crash in Alexandria leaves multiple people injured

ALEXANDRIA, Va. — Police are responding to a motorcycle crash at the intersection of Queen and North Washington streets that resulted in multiple injuries, according to the Alexandria Police Department. The incident, which occurred Wednesday morning, has led to traffic diversions and temporary road closures in the area.

In a social media statement, officials reported that officers were dispatched to the scene to manage the crash and assist with the injured. Details on the number of individuals involved or the extent of injuries have not yet been released. Police confirmed that traffic is being redirected northbound on Washington Street at Cameron Street to facilitate emergency response and clear the affected area.

“Officers are on the scene of a motorcycle crash on Queen and N. Washington streets. Multiple injuries have been reported,” the department shared on its social media accounts. Police have asked drivers and pedestrians to avoid the vicinity until further notice.

Authorities are urging the public to seek alternate routes and expect delays in the surrounding streets. Emergency responders remain active at the location as of Wednesday morning, and no timeline has been provided for when normal traffic flow might resume.

Further details about the cause of the crash or the condition of those injured are expected to be released once the investigation progresses.
