Natural Gas Disaster Emergency Training in Willingboro

WILLINGBORO, NJ—The Willingboro Township Police Department has announced a gas safety training exercise, set for next Tuesday at the John F. Kennedy Center in Willingboro. The event, scheduled from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM, is a collaborative effort between PSE&G and local first responders from Willingboro and Burlington County.

This exercise will simulate a gas emergency to test and refine incident command and evacuation protocols, aiming to enhance preparedness and ensure community safety. Participants will conduct the training in the rear parking lot of the center.

Residents are reminded to call 811 before any digging projects to locate underground utilities and to leave the area immediately and call 911 and PSE&G at 1-800-880-PSEG (7734) if they detect the smell of gas.
