Ohio man turns lucky Pick 5 numbers into $25K payday
NEW ALBANY, OH — An Ohio Lottery player from New Albany is celebrating a $25K jackpot after matching all five numbers in an evening Pick 5 drawing and boosting the prize with an additional winning bet.
The player matched the winning Pick 5 numbers drawn April 24 — 4, 6, 0, 2 and 7 — to win $25,000.
Lottery officials said the player also placed a 120-Way Box bet, adding another $208.50 to the payout for a total prize of $25,208.50.
After mandatory state and federal tax withholdings totaling 26.75%, the winner will receive $18,465.23.
The winning ticket was sold at Winners Corner located at 2036 Baltimore-Reynoldsburg Road in Reynoldsburg.
Ohio Lottery officials said Pick 5 drawings are held daily at 12:29 p.m. and 7:29 p.m.
