November 22, 2024

New Castle, DE – The Delaware State Police have arrested Jermaine Johnson, a 45-year-old resident of New Castle, for felony drug dealing charges. This arrest was part of a multi-jurisdictional investigation conducted in partnership with the New Jersey Salem County Prosecutor’s Office and Homeland Security Investigations in Delaware.

On Tuesday, law enforcement executed a search warrant at a property on Constitution Boulevard in New Castle. The warrant was issued after an investigation into Johnson’s alleged distribution of narcotics in New Jersey and Delaware. During the search, Johnson attempted to flee but was quickly apprehended.

Officers discovered 851 grams of cocaine, multiple ammunition rounds, digital scales, pots, packaging materials, and $5,706 believed to be proceeds from drug dealing at the residence. Johnson, who is a convicted felon not allowed to possess ammunition, was taken to Troop 2 and charged with various felonies, including drug possession and paraphernalia charges.

He was arraigned by Justice of the Peace Court 2 and held at Howard R. Young Correctional Institution with a bond set at $67,000 cash.
