New Jersey First Lady Confronted by Protesters After Embarrassing Loss in Monmouth County

TRENTON, NJ – After an embarrassing loss to U.S. Congressman Andy Kim on her home turf in Monmouth County last week, New Jersey First Lady Tammy Murphy had a run-in at the governor’s mansion with a group of protesters.

Murphy lost her bid for the party line in Monmouth County to the veteran senator despite being offered to ‘share the line’ with Kim. Discussions were held to allow Kim and Murphy to share a party line instead of engaging in a public battle. Both Mrs. Murphy and her husband, Governor Phil Murphy rejected that deal and went ahead with a committee vote. Murphy lost that vote to Kim in a landslide.

Things didn’t get better this week for the First Lady, who is running for U.S. Senate to replace disgraced Democrat Senator Robert Menendez.

During a Lunar New Year celebration, pro-Palestinian protesters confront the Murphys at their lavish Drumthwacket mansion near the state capital. The ultra-left-wing radicals called upon Murphy to disband the New Jersey Israeli Commission.

Protesters claim the First Lady shoved the camera of one of the protesters. This claim has not been confirmed.
