SOMERSET, NJ – On Monday, Anthony Joel Gamble, a 22-year-old man from Somerset, recently pleaded guilty to charges connected to a 2021 killing in Richland Township.
During the incident, troopers found Joshua David Gamble, the younger brother of Anthony, in a wooded area near the vehicle. His attire and belongings, stained with blood, spurred further investigation which revealed an additional discovery. The body of 26-year-old Kevin Rosero, also from Somerset, was found nearby, exhibiting signs of being dragged to the location.
An autopsy revealed Rosero had been stabbed 28 times across various parts of his body. Evidence, including a large, bloodied knife, was discovered in an Audi A5 parked close by, initiating the probe into the brothers’ involvement. The subsequent investigation unfolded a narrative involving conspiracy and robbery, culminating in the stabbing.
The investigations further deduced the encounter was premeditated. Crucial evidence such as sanitizing wipes and work gloves, believed to be purchased just 20 minutes before police arrived on the scene, indicated a plan to conceal the violent act. Both brothers now face impending sentencing, scheduled for November, for their roles in the incident.
