New Jersey man searching for good Samaritan who returned ID from lost wallet

BAYONNE, NJ – A New Jersey man is hoping to track down a kind stranger who mailed his identification card back after he lost his wallet in a Bayonne parking lot earlier this month.

The man shared his story online, explaining that his black Louis Vuitton wallet — a wedding gift — went missing in the Walmart parking lot in Bayonne. Days later, he received his ID in the mail with a Kearny postmark but no note or return address.

“Whoever found my black LV wallet but only mailed my ID to me, thank you for at least that,” he wrote. “Please reach out so I can offer you a $$$ reward to get my actual wallet back.”

He said he’s deeply grateful to the person who took the time to return part of what he lost and hopes they’ll contact him to return the rest. “It was a wedding present and I’m devastated to have lost it,” he said, adding a holiday message of thanks and goodwill.
