New Jersey man shot multiple times trying to flee during home invasion, airlifted to trauma center

WILLINGBORO, NJ – A young Willingboro man is recovering from multiple gunshot wounds in critical condition after gunmen kicked in his front door and demanded money. The man was shot as he tried to flee from his intruders.

On Thursday, at 8:41 pm, police were dispatched to the area of Henderson Lane for a report of shots fired. Upon arriving on location, Patrol Officers located Richard Rowe, a 21-year-old Willingboro resident, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. Officers immediately rendered medical aid along with Willingboro EMS and Virtua Medics. The victim was airlifted to Cooper Trauma Center where he is in critical but stable condition. It was later learned two unknown subjects kicked in the front door of Mr. Rowe’s home on Hewlett Lane armed with weapons demanding money. Mr. Rowe tried to flee the area when he was shot multiple times.

The incident is being investigated by Willingboro Police Detectives and Detectives from the Burlington County Prosecutors’ Office.
