NEWARK, NJ – Newark Public Safety Director Fritz G. Fragé announces that the following streets will be closed during the below designated hours due to the Blacktop Streetball Festival:
7 a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday, August 20, 2022
– Broad Street between Lafayette Street and Court Street
Drivers are advised to plan alternate routes.
The following security measures will be in effect during this event:
All bags and backpacks will be subject to search upon entry.
Certain items such as weapons, illegal drugs, and drug paraphernalia, noise makers, drones of any type, glass containers, alcohol, coolers, all smoking devices, etc., are strictly prohibited.
